“Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best” - Henry Vandyke

Thailand has in excess of 800 species of birds in many different habitats which allowed me the opportunity to visit several different regions of the country in this photographic adventure. Indeed, it was an adventure for I climbed muddy cliffs and trails, wandered forest roads, travelled Thailand’s largest fresh water lake in flat bottom boats and sat in leech ridden hides in search of that one fabulous photo of some strange new bird.

The people of country Thailand left a lasting impression on me for they live life making a living where ever possible without fuss or fan fair and always willing to share a smile. We met an elderly couple who were so happy to show us their catch of the day which was about 10kg of small fresh water fish.
Many hours will be spent sorting and processing photos of new species of birds that I was fortunate to encounter on this trip.
